Proceed to checkout vs. PayPal btn

On cart.aspx, can somebody give me some more information on what is the difference between the "Proceed to Checkout" link at the top of the page vs. the yellow "checkout with PayPal" button at the bottom of the page.

My guess is that the "Proceed to Checkout" at the top of the page uses the payment provider set for the site and the PayPal button takes the user directly to a PayPal login page.

If so, and my payments provider is PayPal, what if I just remove the PayPal button at the bottom of the page?

    Any thoughts on doing this?

    My site is www.pilothousecoffee.com/phc_dc_3

    Thanks.

The "Checkout with PayPal" button is a requirement for using PayPal Payments Pro - it's in the documentation and it is also part of the PayPal Certified Integration - meaning we had to play nice and do all the things PayPal wanted us to do in order to get the Certification. If you pull it out (it only shows up if you are using PayPalPro Payment Provider) and use PayPal Pro, then you're on your own when the PayPal Police show up Wink.
