Connecting to SQL SVR 2000 - Incorrect syntax near FULLTEXT

I am trying to install the DashCommerce software to point at a SQL server 2000 Database and keep getting the following error on the Site Installation / Database Setup page:

I have set the correct Server / Database / user / password values but when I hit the next button I get the error......

A critical error has occurred: Line 2: Incorrect Syntax near "FULLTEXT"

Is this an issue with connecting to SQL 2000?

For 3.0 the base database platform is SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Advanced Services. You can see the rest of the requirements in the Readme.txt file that is in the Web directory of the download or here: http://dashcommerce.org/dashCommerce/technology.aspx

It will be great if dashCommerce 3.0 can support SQL 2000 Hmm
