I think this is a great question!  Now that you have announced that 3.0 is commercial, where does open source end is a key question that needs answered (in my mind). Specifically is 2.2 the end point for open source?

Also if you are working on 3.0 commerical who has control of the open source project?

     Thanks,

    -J

I think you're a little behind the times there - dashCommerce 3.0 is open source - thus the ability to download the source and get to the Subversion Repository.

Regarding a roadmap. I have one that I work from, but I don't currently publish it since it it subject to a lot of revision based on feedback from the community.

I have been watching this project for awhile, and I am in the confused column also. It would be nice to have more payment providers, but if I give back to this project, will they just show up on your .com site for sale? I understand your need to be compensated for the work you have done, but I believe you might want to discuss where the free source ends and the commercial starts.

This is exactly why I'm a little hesitant about working with DC 3. I see a tremendous opportunity if we continue to let this expand out into the development community.
