Atlas:ScriptManager Vs Asp:ScriptManager

Hi Guys.

Can someone help me understand why when I'm working on a new aspx/cx and I want to do partial updates, it won't work if I drag on a asp:ScriptManager and asp:UpdatePanel from the Toolbox but if I change it to atlas:ScriptManager and atlas:updatepanel then it will work.
