I originally posted this question in the 3.0 beta forum, but maybe this is better place to ask.  I'm trying to get through the bug list for the 3.0 beta version and I'm just wondering how these .patch files work.  Is there a mechanism that automatically applies them or do you just have to do it manually?

I've been applying them manually.  If anyone has a better way to apply these I'd like to hear.  I'm hoping that at some point the DC 3.0 code will be put in the source location on CodePlex so that I can just do a diff between my local files and the latest files in the repository.  Does anyone know when that will happen.  Currently, I can only get the CSK code via Tortoise.

You can grab the source from the Subversion repository that is listed in the FAQ page. Also, as far as applying the patches, Scott Hanselman has the best tutorial I've seen on getting a clean patch process in place.
