My dashCommerce 3.2 Version check fails during installation.

Hello.. I have recently downloaded dashCommerce 3.2.And I have updated the Ajaxtoolcontrlkit and my build was success. But when i proceed installation on my local machine, in step4(that is the version check of dashCommerce 3.2) i am getting an error saying like' A critical error has occurred: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'. What could be the problem? I am using .net framework 3.5 with sql server 2005 installed on my machine. Whether my way of proceeding is wrong?? Please guide me to solve this issues. Thank you.

i think this is maybe a bug... before that page.. the installer tell you to change the connectionstring.config, so go back before that page, were the installer ask you for the db connection info, check read from connectionstring file, it works for me ;)

the cnxstring have this format?? thats for windows authentication... theres another verification that you have to do, delete all the tables or maybe just "dashCommerce_Store_Version" the installer check this table .. if it doesnt exist the instaler says "not installed" instead the error.. and you can go as well.. ;) thats for my local machine... in the production use the cnxstring for sql autentication

Thank you for your replay harq. I have just get rid off that error.I have changed my windows authntication to mixed authentication.then it was working.but, after completing theses steps,i am getting an error saying like' A critical error has occurred: Access to the path 'D:\Arun\DashCommerce Shopping cart\dashCommerce 3.2\Web\repository\installtest.txt' is denied'. Now,how can i change the read/write permission in my asp.net(You need to give the NETWORK SERVICE account "READ" and "WRITE" permissions on the 'repository' directory (ASP.NET account for XP).Where i can find the repository directory for asp.net?? Please guide to solve it,as it is already 2 days i am having problem with the installation. Thank you.

hi arun.. its the "repository" folder in dashcommerce, you can change the permissions in the control panel of your hosting account... or if you are running under your local machine, right-click on the folder "repository", choose properties, click on the "Security" tab, add the user.. a give the read and write permissions... you can google as well ;)
