Defect with Image Uploads Component

I have spent the past couple of days troubleshooting why my JPGs are not getting uploaded for the Product Item Master in dashCommerce 3.0.1.33775. Finally, I was able to reproduce the issue. For some reason, if the file extension is ALL CAPS e.g. JPG, the code traps it as an invalid file type, and I get the following error message:

Message Center
A critical error has occurred: File is not of valid type. Parameter name: file

Once I renamed the file with a LOWERCASE filename extension, all worked smoothly. dashCommerce should not be case sensitive with filenames.

Also, is there a different process to pass recommendations for improvement for the product to the Product Management/Development Team? Or is it just done by posting ideas to the Forums?
