 Hi, upon Install.aspx step 1, I'm getting message "A critical error has occurred: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding." when cronnecting to/creating the database.

When I look at the database a number of tables have been created but since I don't know the database structure, I don't know if this is complete.

Has anybody else expreienced this - is it an ASP timeout or an SQL timeout? Any idea how I can increase the time allowed before timeout?

I'm not sure of the correct answer but have you tried this more than once?  Just delete the database and do the install again.

 Thanks Matthew, I tried 3 or 4 times before posting with the same result - timeout.

However, I have tried since and did manage to get it to work. It took quite a while to complete so I think it got there just in time!
